2008 Jayco Jay Flight 19BH and 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT 4X4

2008 Jayco Jay Flight 19BH (Bought off showroom floor in December 2008) with Comfort Package, Plus Package, Spare Tire, and Whole Wheat Interior

2008 Sport Trac 4.6L V8 XLT 4X4 with 7000 lbs trailer, 730 lbs trailer tongue rating & 1400 lbs of payload. 292 hp & 300 lbs torque. Mixed driving is 18.5 mpg, bettering my 05 V6 Pathfinder by 1.5 mpg!

More about Mike Up

My interests are Home Theater Electronics and Tent and Pop Up camping. My 2 favorite hobbies are total polar opposites, one an indoor activity, the other an outdoor activity.

By trade, I work on industrial electronics and automation.

Bed measurement on the '08 19BH:

The double bed mattress measures 48" X 75".

The bunk bed mattress measures 29" X 75".

The sofa converted to a bed, measures 44" X 71".

The dinette bed measures 38" X 72".

The bunkbed is rated at 300 lbs. The dinette is rated at 300 lbs. The sofa has no rating but was advised not to go over 400 lbs on sofa.

Total sleeping area is 7.

Before purchasing the Jayco travel trailer, I previously owned a 2007 Starcraft 2406 Pop Up (Ordered in June 2006 and took delivery in July 2006). To many water leaks in the bunkends. After getting soaked while sleeping, the decision to rid myself of the Pop Up and go to a travel trailer came easily. For that reason, I would never consider a Hybrid TT either (Pop Up material bunkends/beds on a traditional hard sided travel trailer).

Previously owned a 2005 Rockwood Freedom 2290 Pop Up (Bought off showroom floor in June 2005) before purchasing the Starcraft Pop Up. The Rockwood had to many structural problems, Linolium coming up and moving structurewood floor causing cabinet damage. Also had electrical problems with voltage regulation. Very Poor Customer Service on top of it all. It spent more time in the repair shop than the campground. I had to find a camper that actually could be used to camp.
