Anyone know if there is a way to install the removable Pingel chocks through the floor using something besides the nuts and bolts they come with. Thx

I found a cross member behind the tanks to anchor mine. I pre-drilled and used self tapping torx head screws. I went under to make sure there was nothing to hit when I drilled. I mounted one to roll the bike in straight in and another at the back of the trailer to load cross ways. 1200 miles, so far no problems.

I have a similar issue. I have a WW Superlite 5er. The underside is covered with a black insulation type material (kinda like black plastic wrap). I cannot actually see the underside of the plywood floor. Can I secure the mounting hardware using thick wood screws instead of lag bolts w/ nuts?

Thanks

If you have the ability, use something other than a "Pingle" chock. They are near useless for any full size motorcycle. Try something like a "Bike-Pro".

I just installed "Bike-Pro" chocks from my old trailer into my WW LE3505. The "black plastic wrap" is thin, and you will drill right through it. Ignore the wrap and install with a backing plate or LARGE washers.

Couldn't agree more!

I have Pingle chocks in my 7X12 Haulmark motorcycle trailer. Put Condor's in my KZ. WOW, what a difference! I've hauled my 2 Electra Glides in the haulmark all over the US and Canada and have to fuss with the bikes on almost every stop due to the sloppiness holding the front wheels in the pingles.

Traveled from Detroit to Daytona and back in the new KZ with the Condors this past March... Didn't have to touch the bikes once!

I'm a believer! The pingles in the Haulmark have to go!

My 2 cents...

Same here. I have travelled with friends who were using the Pingle. At one stop we checked the bike and it was leaning against the inner wall and scuffing the fairing. I have used the Bike Pro for THOUSANDS of miles, and never had one issue. I know the Condor is similar. I just can't see putting an $18,000 motorcycle in a $40 chock.

What about Etrack chocks? That is the way to go IMO. Look for Mackie Enterprises. He is on Ebay. I have six of them, could not be happier.

I mounted mine to a 12" x 24" piece of 3/4 plywood. With four tie downs, two on the handle bars and two on the rear sub frame of my mx bikes, it is all I need to keep them stable. Sometimes I go out with 5 bikes, some times I go out with 3 bikes and two quads, other times I only have 3 bikes. I can move the chocks around where ever I like with this set up. They are totally stable and have never had any issues in over two years of using this set up. I would only recommend this for dirt bikes however.
