Getting ready for a trip out west and don't have the time nor the inclination to have the LP gas line repaired by a Jayco authorized repair facility until I return; so I performed the following temporary repair.
When I inspected the copper tubing, there was very little deformation so I cut a piece of 1" schedule 40 PVC, 8" long and then split it lengthwise. Using 3 #20 pipe clamps, I secured the 2 pieces of PVC around the LP line from the elbow fitting, extending over the conduit. This adds significant rigidity and stress relief to the copper tubing and causes no interference with the slide operation. Not the prettiest repair but certainly safe and will last until I can get it professionally repaired.
