We're at a TX rest stop, it was an early stop and I was bored, I pulled out the phony water and power post and set it up! I hooked up the hose and power cord the RV. We've now had three people stop and ask how I managed to get the spot. Two good laughs, meeting new people and one curmudgeon who got a bit testy. One of the guys was planning on building his own, so watch out I'm not the only joker out there!!

Dry camping and loving it!!

Father in law has had fun doing that for years. Got me one time with the water post. He's told people that it's solar power, ground energy, dry power, and my favorite is it magic and only works for him.

Now, that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

I'm going to do a picture in a Wally World parking lot with the sign in the background, should really set-off a fire storm when I post it.

DW has learned to live with my strange sense of humor. I find that in most cases the post makes a great way to get people to stop and talk. Mike's, the guy who is stealing the idea, wife has threatened to make him sleep in the towed if he uses the post. At least Mary hasn't gotten out blankets and pillow for me, YET!

Shadow,
Somehow I can see you sitting there keeping a straight face for a few minutes and listening to him run out the thread! How long you think you'll keep a straight face??

Corky52,
I have one also. I have mine set up to drip a drop of water ever once in a while. Have to make sure I turn off the pump at at bed time.
Also, there is a small neon light on the post. I sure do get the comments.

My husband keeps talking about building one.

We go to a lot of dog shows and finding a power hook-up is always an issue, let alone water. It would make them crazy to see someone hooked up to power and water.

The one we saw in Quartzsite had a solar light on top of it.

Post some picture of the ones you have made for all to see.
