The extended warranty companies usually wont do anything for you until the factory warranty runs out.... Catch 22!!!

if WW is not honoring thier warranty then I would say theFactory warranty has expired
I would have to agree with that statement, if the company expires, so does the warranty

but then again, this is why they invented "fine print"
You are telling the truth! We feel your pain. Weekend Warrior will not answer the phone or return phone calls. We were also told they do not pay their dealers for warranty work. Non dealers won't consider doing warranty work for them, we have tried that avenue too.
If it's true misery loves company; here goes:
We have been waiting 3 MONTHS trying to get Weekend Warrior to authorize warranty work on our new FS2300 trailer. It is a major repair and we have had the same experience with trying to get someone to answer the phone or even return a call. We have had two authorized dealers calling them for us and we have been calling too.
Life is not fair sometimes.
So, who out there can replace two or three sheets of plywood, two rafters, moldy insulation and a new rubber roof (the existing roof is fine, but will tear when removed, we are told)? There is a leak in the emergency window that had damaged under the bed platform too. (Can't get permission from WW to check that out though!) Two ceiling panels and an estimated 80 hours work?
The trailer is in Northeast Georgia now.
Thank you for this Forum!!!
Does the law say anything about this? I'm thinking CA law, since WW is based in CA, however, individuals should also check their states laws. I know that RV's don't have most of the "lemon law" protections that cars do, but it seems odd that a manufacturer can simply decide to stop honoring its warranty, and that it can decide to not pay for past & current warranty claims, unless they have filed for bankruptcy protection (I haven't followed this too closely, so maybe they did & I just don't know it). Has anyone checked with an attorney? I hope that WW can save itself, as I have always been impressed with their products (& had even hoped that my next TH would be a WW or Rage'n), but I've got to think that people with problems NOW need to be taken care of, even if it means that WW goes under.
Good luck to everyone having problems, I hope they can be worked out without costing too much time money & sanity.

That is simple carpentry work. Any relatively competent carpenter can do it. My neighbor down the street had a leak in the front and just cut a giant square out of his rubber roof, fixe/replaced the damaged roof elements put the rubber back and slathered the whole thing with RV silicone. It hasn't leaked since. I refuse to allow anyone to work on my trailer other than myself. All they do is party in your trailer, break more stuff and return it to you in worse condition anyway.

I for one do not understand why so many on this forum are enjoying in the possible demise of WW, a company who pioneered the Toy hauler industry with so many functionally and styling innovations, which have been incorporated in so many other brands.
I read thru a ton of post that say WW is crap, garbage, etc. Why slam them so hard? It reminds me of the Chevy, Ford and Dodge discussions on which one of them is better, there all good.
Many owner as well the industry in a whole will be hurt if WW goes under, so why wish this to happen? Because If people are not complaining about something, there not happy. Why?
You will hear more negative than positive from people because complaining is easier than praising something, I truly enjoy my WW, has it been totally defect free, No it has not, but they did the repairs to my satisfaction.
Yes if WW goes under some will be hurt, which is unfortunate.
After this is all done what will you complain about then?
Wow, I must have been lucky. I took my trailer to Giant RV about 3 weeks ago. Just picked it up last week. WW transported it to their plant, no charge, and performed a host of warranty repair items and returned it to Giant RV, again no charge. All said and done in 2 weeks. No hassle, no whining. Just like you'd expect it to be.
Either good timing, or someone at Giant has connections
I am encouraged by seeing how many of you have had WW treat them right. The dealership that has my toyhauler did talk to Jamie at WW yesterday and we are hoping for something good to come out of that call.
We have also found out that what has caused our problems is a torqued Zieman frame on our almost one year old 2007 FS2300 SUPERLITE. Seams and molding have popped loose causing windows to leak and wood to bow due to the torqued frame. The front cap had already separated and had to be "attached and recaulked" listed on the paperwork we have a copy of (before we bought the trailer new) and that is one sign of the frame torquing ladies and gentleman. (Reference Exhibit C diagram in trailer settlement documents.) We thought at one time the tires looked like they may not completely line up and then thought it was our imagination, it wasn't the frame is torqued.
So, we are unfortunately looking at more than carpentry work. We did not realize that this WW trailer had a defective frame because it was a 2007, but alas, it was built in 2006.
We like our trailer but, it is not worth the money owed on it. We don't have a solid frame on which to rebuild upon. Maybe I need to learn welding?
JR, i'm with you all the way. I've only had my Warrior since Dec. but it has been a great experience with this big 5ver. Also not trouble free but that is expected from something so big put together in a few days. Biggest problem so far a water leak on the back side of the water heater 10 minute fix.
What most are forgetting is this is a forum where most of the people come that have problems and to complain about their problems. I believe Warrior is the most popular out there, check the old post LE Ownersthere are 91 and counting LE owners on this board alone and only a few complaints.
