Anyone taken pictures of foods they have prepared in their dutch ovens? I would love to see what others are making while they are camping. Here are a few of mine.

Todd and Jessica the creations look delicious. Kind of reminds me of the wonderful dishes we get to sample at our DOG's (Dutch Oven Gatherings). I can't wait until the Fall when they start up again.

Bearnkat,
I appreciate the compliment, but I am just a novice; I've been on the IDOS wesite...those chefs are AMAZING! I would love to be able to go to a DOG or the National Championships; they just don't have any events like that here in the south. Thanks again though.

Hi Todd,
Hey, your DO (Dutch Oven) creations look incredible. I wish all of mine would come out that good. I'm a novice as well. I've only been cooking since this past February. I'm fortunate to have some incredible cooks in our chapter to learn from.
Below are some links to our big Regional DOG that was held this past March at one of our Texas state parks.

Enjoy and keep those coals HOT!
BTW, I love Bryon's recipes, I've prepared several of them and have never had a complaint!

Chuck and Terry-
I have to say that's the first time I've seen GoLomke done in a dutch oven! Yum!
I have to ask, in picture 42, album 3 - what is that? I'm always up to try something new!
Thanks for posting your album links! Looked like a great time! (and so low in calories! :-)

Everything looks great! It makes me want to go get our dutch ovens out of their storage bags. Did you brown your turkey breast?

Greenroom,
No, I did not pre-brown my turkey breast, that is the way it cooked in the DO.

Hey Car Guy,
The cabbage rolls went in a flash, DW and I had to get some out before we took the DO to the serving area. OMG, they were delicious and not too bad to prepare.
The dish in photo #42 is my best buddy's "Enchilada Casserole." You can think of it as “stacked beef enchiladas” or Mexican lasagna. Instead of pasta, you use corn tortillas. There was some incredible cooks and dishes prepared that weekend. It was very memorable.
We "magically" took out all the calories the whole weekend we were there, so we didn't have to worry about them!

Oh gosh, now I see it! I've never done Enchiladas for camping - Definitely on my "to cook" list for this year!
Sounds like a super gathering!
Thanks again!
