Just got back from a western tour towing our Liberty towed this thing over 5000 miles. Some days we towed it for 8 hours some 500 plus miles. I did not have to disconnect the battery, speeds ranged from 0-70+ mph. After towing had no problems it started right up and ran fine, none of the problems that other people have posted.

Do you have a braking system like Brake Buddy?

Just got a 2007 Liberty Limited. Taking it to Camping World today to get it set up to be towed. I'm getting the AddaBrake system. The AddaBrake is a temporary system to take on and off, when you want to use it. I'm having the Masterbrake Sterling system installed on the Jeep. I've had a 83 Jeep Scrambler and my father-in-law had one of the original Cherokees, so I thought I might not like the Liberty, but after driving it a few times I think I'm going to like it ok. After checking out all the different State laws about towing, I decided to just get the cheapist system available, so I wouldn't have any potential trouble in the feature about not having some auxilary brake system.

Yes to the brake, I have the SMI - Air Force 1 which worked great. you only have to hook up the airline from the coach to the front of the vehicle. Most states require it plus it's the safe thing to do. The even brake by Roadmaster will not fit the floor pan on the 2008 liberty!
