We wouldn't want to be without electric brakes.

Funny, our dealer told us specifically the faucet wasn't an issue. I will have to double check with that when I go up there.

It was a bummer, it happened the DAY we brought it home from the dealer! We couldn't believe it, broke something before we even took it out Who knows, maybe the guy at the dealership didn't have it in the right position when he had us close it up. When we went back he did say, "oh yeah, we forgot to tell you about that". We've taken it off ever since, don't feel like experimenting!!

Like just about everyone with a Niagara, we love or '07 and take her out as often as we can -- we camp more now than ever before, and we've had a PUP for over thirty years.

A BAL leveler is a great thing to have as it makes leveling a "non-issue" and let's you use a lot of sites you'd pass up otherwise.

When you close her up, take time to fold the end tenting as flat as possible without any bunching. It will help the top go down a lot easier.

Like most of the others, we've never had a problem with the faucet. I doubt it will be a problem.

Get a pressure regulator for the city water hookup. Might save you a popped water fitting and avoid a leak.

You'll find the refrigerator will work a lot better if you install a fan on the evaporator coils. A battery fan for the inside also helps keep the inside uniformly cool. We keep frozen foods in our freezer on every trip and don't have problems with thawing.

This PUP has a lot to remember when taking down. Make a check off list, or you'll forget something, like leaving the lift switch hanging on the back when you take off down the road! (I admit, that was my sput.)

Consider a sway bar and WDH. There's a single bar WDH that works well on this PUP. I wouldn't be without either.

Congratulations and good luck with your new unit.

WDH = Weight Distributing Hitch. We use one with our Niagara. The hitch uses spring bars to transfer some of the weight from the rear axle of the tow vehicle (tv) to the front axle of the tv. This helps with towing and control/steering. There are other more exotic and expensive hitches around but for a pup they would be overkill IMHO. Ours has no name brand on it - the dealer threw it in when we bought our trailer. My guess is about $300-400 to buy.

We also have a friction type swaybar but I haven't been using it as sway has not been an issue for us. Plus, since I was told by the dealer to remove it when backing up, it now stays at home - one less thing to do! If you load your trailer evenly and don't try to take too much stuff, sway problems should be minimized.

For fridge mods (like adding a fan and baffle), try searching this forum. I just added these things to my fridge a month ago but haven't taken any pictures. Many others have done this so there are lots of posts. I even had a topic started for Niagara mods that gave me few ideas.

You have a nice looking rig - enjoy!

PS - practice with that bag awning at home - it can be somewhat frustrating putting it up.

OOPS! Should have mentioned to look in the "Towing" forum - there is a sticky that explains about wdh and how they work.

Regarding Fleetwoodmac's faucet problem, I have a theory. I was packing my 07 Niagara today (getting ready to go our east for the Fourth) and took a hard look at the set up. There's nothing on the tenting that could "hook" the faucet. But, if the faucet was push back and to the side, instead of pointing toward the front of the sink, and the bunk was closed, the matress would hit and slide under the end of the faucet and I'll bet, break it off.

I've never had any reason to suspect the faucet could be snagged by the tenting and the idea of having to take it off to close the PUP just doesn't ring true.

Here's a link to a picture of the refrigerator fan. Fan Mod

I didn't install a baffle and so far, don't think it's needed with the fan mounted as shown.
