We do not have a bunkhouse, but we do have bunkbeds in the back. I wouldn't give them up for anything. Our boys are 14, 17 and growing, but we don't make beds every night and they always have some place that is theirs to flop!Priceless

Well we just bought a 2008 Fleetwood Wilderness 5er today and it has a bunk room......we have no small kids at home (unless you call my 19 yr old small lol) anyways he said it will be great because there is a place for tv video game hook up and he can shut the door and sleep in and be comfy in AC instead of a warm tent. I am still surprised he is planning to come with us but he loves to take the quads out so I guess that is his reasoning haha I can see us using the bunk room as a guest room for adults also......I think it is perfect and thats what caught my eye with this model.

As for 40'ers...that's what we've been looking at. The Silverback with opposing slides is not far from that. If there's a unit with a "full LR", I'd like to see it. I haven't found one really.
Look at the new model bunkhouse Mobile Suite by Doubletree RV. It has a full living room.
We have a Prowler 315 BH and our daughter (age 11) loves it! She invites a friend or two, and they stay up until 2 or 3 watching TV, talking, without disturbing us. No yelling from my behalf... ALso, they contain their "mess" and therefore, I don't say one word, until we leave the campsite! It is wonderful. We feel we will continue to use it for couples to join us, as it is more private than the living quarters couch.
It's funny, those same kids that go around catching toads, and bugs, and other creepy-crawlies all day refuse to sleep outside with them at night, go figure? So a bunkhouse has been a MUST for us. For the last four years we have enjoyed our double bunks in the Jayco. I enjoy not having to pull out the sleeper couch every night, and the kids enjoy retreating to their room to watch TV without Mom or Dad changing the channel. It works well for us. However, we are in our RV 3 months or more each year, maybe if you were just week-end camping the separate "kid space" would not be that important?
