We are leaving for Alaska July 1st in a rented class C. We start leave Redondo Beach and plan to drive to Fairbanks? We rented the MH for 2 months.

As we non rush, I will find out fast if this is/was enough time to do it right. Also, since this is a big purchase "for us" renting a class C will helps us deicide if we would like to buy Class A or a 5th wheel. We plan to live in it 6 months a year or more. We have the Milepost in hand.

Any advice you may have sure wont hurt.

Redondo Beach, my old alma mater - RUHS where I attended my 50th reunion last August. Have a great trip and try to limit your driving to about 300 miles a day so you can relax and not try to set any speed records. There is much to see all the way from El Cajon to Alaska. Travel safe and return happy.

Prepare yourself for the gas prices. $4.79 in most of AK, $5.06 at the 1 station in Denali, Anchorage is better, $4.39. We returned home yesterday from a 23-day, 3,000-mile visit. We really appreciated our rented Ford Escort's 35mpg.
