Any have a bout of this?
Our family of four has been out about every month for the last year and have had a great time. Alway excited about the next.
Our last trip was 4 nights @ Ft. Cinch in NE Florida in June. Fantastic beach, great campground and family even had an adjacent site. Great trip all around.
However, we were completly exhausted and almost everyone got sick right after (probably from school, not camping). Ever since no one has been really excited about going again. Really seems odd since we've been planning on several trips for the summer and it's approach 2 months without camping now and we have nothing in sight.
Has anyone else gone through this? Gung ho, then all of a sudden blah.... How long did it take to snap out. Did you just go and everything was ok?
Asking this in the family section because it's happened to all of us, DS 8, DD 6, DW ? and me. One I'd understand, but all??

DW and I normally go every two weeks and usually with another family. We have burned out camping with that family as there is some personality conflict with the wife of that couple. We have not camped with that family as much this year (two trips so far) and things are much better doing that.
The DW and I have skipped two trips this year because of home improvement projects and the break has actually helped the DW miss camping more (I would never turn up a good trip out !).
If I were you I would skip a trip and when you go out again try another CG or park to stay at...maybe teh change of scenery will do the situation good !
Good Luck !

I'd take a break from camping and relax at home for a while. Take in some of the local sights around your home town. It's not written in stone you've got to head out every month.

It's happened to me too. I make a lot of camping reservations to ensure I have guaranteed camping throughout the summer, but it gets to be too much sometimes. If it does I cancel a reservation and do something else...go to a baseball game....take a road trip in the car...etc...that usually cures me. I'm getting ready to head out for the 4th of July and I can't wait to get the trailer hitched and go!

You'll snap out of it, I bet.
Being ill would have alot to do with the burnout factor on that last trip you described.

Nope, no burnout here. In fact, we don't get out as often as we would like (though we average once a month).
