Jim, if that's the case, you may want to consider raising the trailer in some way - but only if you are having a sway problem...

A WD hitch will give a better ride.I had a TT with the same weight, used a 400 lb hitch with one weight bar worked well. but it will not fit some trailers because of the way it is made.
