As most of you are aware I am use to packing the PUP, when you take down everything has to have its place for space. What about the HTT, do I have to pack away the coffee maker, toaster and ext or can it sit out on the floor? How well do you pack for travel? Do not want any mistakes like it was once stated the flying cutting board when quick stops happen. Thank you for your info and all my questions.
The outdoors is a wonderful place to be....

Anywhere they will not move around will work. Be sure to secure the glass pot tightly!

Our toaster has a place in a 2 gallon ziploc bag (to seal out any crumbs that might have stuck in) and goes in the cabinet under sink (where the potspans, crockpot etc. live as well. The can opener is mounted under the overhead cabinet between rangehood and microwave. The coffeemaker also goes in a plastic box for storage and goes in the same cabinet as toaster. We also have a toaster oven which was a gift from a friend to thank us for something with the note "for your new camper" so for now we have to take it (we have one in the house already) so it may or may not get used at camp. But for now it's in it's own box which was cut down and retaped to fit without all the foam and currently we still have room for it in a cabinet, the one under front bunk. In time, we may not have room there or may skip it. I wouldn't travel with any of them on the countertop "just because."

Close to the floor and toward the front is usually safe. Like Joy mentioned, pack tightly and cushion so nothing is allowed to move around and develop rub marks.

we only leave heavy stuff on the floor.
boxes, rubbermaid totes, RVBBQ, family cat etc...

We have nothing at all on the floor (or counters), a nice change from our popup. It all fits in cupboards. The coffee maker glass pop fits nicely in a small cardboard box in the cupboard over the sink.
Road vibration and the normal crown of the road surface tend to move loose items to the front right corner of the trailer. We kept our popup microwave on the floor there, wrapped in a blanket.

We pick up our new trailer monday and I have the same questions..
Does anyone put items in a rubbermaid tote and leave it on the floor.
Would that foamy/sticky drawer lining under the tote keep it from sliding and rubbing the floor?
It would seem under our dining area between the seats would be a great place as it would not move too much.

Everything packs away nicely (we did a couple of mods and opened up additional space). We keep one rubbermade tote and beach chairs in the tub. Only thing sliding around was hubby's skateboard - but were going to put a rack on the wall to take care of that... any suggestions on the best way to mount? Use toggles?

Pack away nicely. I was one of the ones that posted asbout the flying Cutting board. If you are going to leave small appliances sitting out on the floor I recommend you wrap them with blankets and store heavey stuff around them so they do not fly. It just takes one crazy driver to cut you off or a kid to run into the street to make your appliances missles when you have to make that emergency manuever.
