Just a post to blow off some steam.
We were camping last weekend, and pulled into the park late Friday afternoon. The spot we were given was one of the smaller spots. Normally, not a problem. The neighbor on our "curb" side was already in and setup. His site was much bigger and the side of his trailer was right on the "line" dividing the sites. The problem? His slideout was in our site.
We're in a 27' trailer, he is in a pop-up. I got my trailer setup, pulled out the awning, and the awning actually was over their slideout.
They were gone until later that night, otherwise I would've said something to them about it. Finally got myself cooled down and just decided to relax and enjoy the weekend. I did take some enjoyment in the fact that the water condensed from my AC was running down the awning and onto his canvas slideout.
I decided not to make an issue of it with him, but mentioned it at the front desk when we checked out on Sunday. (This park has helpers to help guide you into the sites).

Next time avoid getting into a dispute with the encroaching neighbor and just go to the office and demand a partial refund for deprivement of the space that you paid for. The camp manager will deal with the issue and if he or she does the job right will keep you out of any hassle.

Next time, ask for a different spot if you think there will be a problem.

We were in a park near Taladega at race time. Came home one afternoon to find a pup tent set up under the overhang of our 5er. Just laughed it off and had a good time.

When folks get to close to me at a site, I just open up all the windows, turn up the stereo real loud, and start singing and romping around the motor home in the buff. Works every time.
Just kidding. Couldn't help it.
I think I would either shrug it off or see the management. The only thing is that anytime something like this happens, management is already gone. And face it, most people who would do this either don't realize it, or they are just dumb as a stump. I do my best not to let dumb people have any effect on me. They normally earn their own rewards and sometimes to our amusement.

I guess I've never understood what folks get out of camping in a place where sites are so small you can't even open your awning without bumping into your neighbors. I'd rather stay home (where I have a huge yard). In short I think I'd be choosing a different RV Parking lot next time.

Had something like that happen to me.. The assigned site was occupied, in part, by the neighbor's tow vehicle.. Thankfully the next site over was vacant. I parked there, and when I registered I reported the move to the clerk. They said "No problem" (Identical sites after all)and security had a short conservation with the violator. Next time they parked better
I"ve been in a couple of CG's where.. Well, you walked a "Maze" Between one of my slides and one of my neighbor's but there was no conflict. I forget but I think I was completly within my site, but his hung over a bit.. On the service (Driver's side) so it did not matter to me Curb side for him.. You did not put awnings out in that park (no room)
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business
