He was there, already setup. I don't see what the problem is, the sites were too small for you and him both.
Why blame him for that?
He likely is still cursing you for putting your awning out in such a small area and soaking his wife's side of the mattress with your condensation from your loud air conditioner all night....

Why not just demand your rights be honored too? Are you so scared of the world you cannot stand up for your rights?
Is everything a crisis to you? No "right" was violated here. We are all given the privilege of renting some space on someone else's property. There's no "right" involved. Thankfully the situation was handled as it was. Otherwise someone could have wound up dead.

Sure, I prefer sites that are spaced further out but I also prefer to be at places like the Outer Banks where it's just a little cozy.
C'mon, this is not Berzerkistan. You ALWAYS have a choice. Sounds like you've made the right ones so far. I don't buy that you don't have a choice. In one of my very early RV experiences (at the very bottom of my learning curve) I had driven 12 hours and arrived at the destination RV park where I made a reservation based on TL reviews. It was dark, I pulled in and learned very quickly that it was not as advertised. I did not even slow down. I drove another 50 miles and spent the night in the moonshadow of a man-made hill in a gravel pit. My choice, and I was a happy camper with that choice. Unfortunately, while I am a bit wiser and much older now, I still make stupid choices from time to time.

We were camping last weekend, and pulled into the park late Friday afternoon. The spot we were given was one of the smaller spots. Normally, not a problem. The neighbor on our "curb" side was already in and setup. His site was much bigger and the side of his trailer was right on the "line" dividing the sites. The problem? His slideout was in our site.
We're in a 27' trailer, he is in a pop-up. I got my trailer setup, pulled out the awning, and the awning actually was over their slideout.
They were gone until later that night, otherwise I would've said something to them about it. Finally got myself cooled down and just decided to relax and enjoy the weekend. I did take some enjoyment in the fact that the water condensed from my AC was running down the awning and onto his canvas slideout.
I decided not to make an issue of it with him, but mentioned it at the front desk when we checked out on Sunday. (This park has helpers to help guide you into the sites).
Simple, just take out a big hammer and beat his slideout in till it's even with the line.

True story. We came back from a day trip to find two big tents set up inches from the back of my trailer, right beside sewer connector. They wanted as much space for their picnic table as possible.I went in my bedroom and looked out my window and was face to face with a very naked women. She was changing with her top flapscreen open.I said woops, she just stared. That night they moved thier tents.
As far as confronting others,it all depends.Today I could live with it,tomorrow who knows. One thing I have learned is some people are clueless and shouldnt be allowed out of thier suitcase , let alone allowed to go camping.
Berzerkistan?? Isn't that just outside Hoboken??? My meaning of "choice". I want to be in Bar Harbor. My favorite campground is the KOA. Sites are close together. Because that's where I want to be, I don't have a "choice" but to tolerate the close sites. My OPTION is to go elsewhere-my CHOICE requires I deal with the close sites.
.....or not. Semantics. My only point is, we have RVs (at least I do) so that we can move if we don't like where we are. That seems an intergral part of any mission statement for RVers. Exercising options requires making choices. Anyway, in the case of this OP, he wasn't dealing with drunks in a domestic brawl. It was a minor territorial infringement and not worth a second thought unless really bored with everything else. IMHO, of course. And you are absolutely right....if you want to be where you are, you deal with the environment and don't complain about it.

I am in California. If I go to the beach areas there are a lot of people and space is at a premium (land cost is very high) so virtually all places are tight and you just have to expect it and deal with it. Conversely, when I go the other way up to the mountains or desert areas space cost is not an issue and I expect a lot of room. The expectations and "rules" that apply in the mountains don't apply at the beach.
