06 Lance 1181
Has two group 27's in there now on a tray, but I've let them die (11.x volts) too many times.
What's a good replacement size/brand?
Any advice is appreciated.

Kehale: what specifically do you have? Gel cell? AGM? Flooded cell?
I'd suggest AGM batteries if you don't already have them. If you had them and destroy AGMs, all I can say is: wow! You're a better man than I! I couldn't kill our AGM batteries no matter what I did

How do you use your camper? Campgrounds or long boondocking trips? If campgrounds then simply replace them with the same batteries and continue on. If boondocking then a switch to something like Trojan T105's or even Lifeline AGM batteries might be in order.

I just traded my two 27 for 29,s they fit with room to spare if I wasn,t so cheap I would have bought the lifelines also. The 29,s give quite a bit more than the 27 did even though we never sat for more than 2 days and have a 125 watt solarpanel.

Would it help to keep the camper hooked up to electricity?
Some people told me it's a good idea, others said it's not.
Last year when my camper was off the truck I kept it plugged in all winter.
My battery is at least 6 years old and still works.
What's right, what's wrong....heck if I know, maybe someone here knows?

Are you using the kill switch when storing the TC? Or just running down your battries? If your going to fork out the bucks for good AGM battries, look at upgrading your charger unit with a "smart charger".As for battries I've got 2 Optima's and am happy with them but will go for BIGGER AGM lifelines when these die.

I'm just running the stock batteries now (interstate?).
Where did you get those lifelines?
Since we have the same camper, I'm pretty sure they'd fit.

I've got the upgraded progressive dynamics charger.
My fault for killing them. Once left some lights on inside and nearly drained them completely. Another time I left the radio on. Doh!
Those AGM's look pricy!
