I would think living in the Midwest would make it possible to go and see so many things without have to drive across the country to do it.It is cheaper to stay in RV Park, State or private, many small town in the summer have festals and events going on.
Anybody think there state would be the best?

We are looking forward to spending time in the Midwest when we fulltime for all the reasons you've stated. Plus, I miss the lightning bugs. My wife thinks I'm making lightning bugs up, her being from the west. I must say though, living in the Pacific Northwest has been wonderful as we have the mountains, the ocean, the forests, and lots of BLM land and boondocking places. What a great country we have that many of us from all parts of the country think that theirs is the best part! Happy Independence Day!

Right about now, I would say the midwest would be the best place to own a BOAT. I feel bad for all those people dealing with the floods.

isn't this tornado season in the midwest? I question whether it is the best time for Rv'ing in that part of the country.

We worry about tornadoes about as much as you guys in Oregon seem to be worried on a day to day basis about earthquakes and volcanoes.

i'll take the occasional once-every-10years earthquake to having tornadoes and floods and ice storms and hail storms and snow storms EVERY year!

Kansas is not on fire.
It hasn't threatened to slip into the ocean for millions of years.
The governor is easy to understand.
Earthquake insurance is $8.00/year.
Kansas has some mud, but there is little tendency for it to slide.
Ballots are printed in only two languages.
Menus are in one language, and you have heard all the words before.
Regular is $3.949 a gallon, but that beats $4.583.

And there is no need to mention dollege basketball...

Wow! This degraded into a slam on the midwest right away. The fact is, ANY PLACE is the best place to own an RV.
