I have Power Gear jacks on my 2003 Fleetwood. One of the jacks does not extend. I put in a new pump solenoid but that did not fix the problem. I also switched the plugs around which then allows me to extend that jack so I know it is not the jack or the pump. I would have to think it is something between the contriol pad and the pump. Is it possible to have one button on those control pads go bad? When I push the button it make a higher pithced whine than the other buttons and then does nothing. Thanks, Marc

The higher pitched wine indicates that that jack is not holding pressure.

Try this, with two or more jacks extended, push both the bottons for say the front and the troubled jack, and see if it starts to retract the other jack. That would indicate the jack is getting pressure but it is being released into the resivoir too.

If you think it is a power problem from the switch, it might be possible to move one jack wiring to the other. For instance, move the left rear to the right rear, and right rear to the left rear to make the test, then see if it is the jack control panel or not. Because the control panel is turning on the pump when a button is pushed, I don't think the control panel is the problem.

I really have not gotten into my jack controls very much, so it is just an educated guess as to what is going on.

Fred.
