Folks, keep an eye out during your travels for the following RV:
2005 Fleetwood Providence (no, not mine....), silver with purple accents, California plates of 5EGW566.
This is an Amber Alert vehicle. The driver of the RV, a 46 year old white male, shot his estranged wife and grabbed their 9 year old son.
If you see this MH anywhere call 911. Do not attempt to contact the occupants!
This crime occurred in Orange County California. The suspect has family in Texas and Washington D.C.

Ok, you got me, I did find ONE other thread on this. I'm sure if it were your family involved you wouldn't mind it going out more than once.

Craig Thanks for putting this up. I would want it everywhere if that child was mine. Repeat posts or not.

I just heard about this on the news yesterday, but I didn't realize the guy was in an RV. I hadn't seen it posted on here (can't catch everything)so thanks for the post. Wouldn't it be nice if rv.net would put a permanent Amber Alert sticky in the forums posting primarily about abductions involving RVs since we are around them so much?

Glad you posted this again since many may not have seen the other threads.
And why don't we stop being so critical of what people post.
There's a beautiful thread about thanking veterans for our freedoms. Maybe if everyone read that and remembered how united we are in this country we could be more civil to one another.

I saw the amber alert on the freeway signs today while traveling down the I-405 in Orange County, CA. Thanks for the additional information. I noted the signs only said it was a purple and gold RV with no mention of type. I was thinking purple?, must be an old van conversion or slide-in. Never imagined it would be a newer class A with purple accents.

Thanks for the Post I had not seen the other's either.
Can't believe I missed the other's as I do try to see "every post" on the RV.Net Forum.
This is definitely worth repeating. A very sad situation.

It serves a better purpose if everyone posts in the same thread. It helps keep the thread visable.
