Has anybody stayed at the Lighthouse Point CG at Cedar Point? I've been trying all day to get on the Cedar Point website but can't get past the first page for any info. I've read on these threads that it is very nice but rather pricey. About what is the cost per night? Thanks, Gary

Yes, Cedar Point in Ohio, but the CG you linked is a privately owned one outside of the park. Lighthouse Point CG is inside the park right on Lake Erie I think. Gary

routeforty,
I think you are looking for "camper village" under CP.
Try cedarpoint.com/public/park/resorts/hotels/camper_village.cfm
or go to cedarpoint.com and look under accommodations.
Haven't stayed there but just returned from Bayshore Estates Campground just E of the CP causeway. Been going there since 1995. Bayshore has recently become a KOA affiliate. Here is web site...www.mhdcorp.com/
Guess I better learn how to link eh!
Have a ride on Maverick, Millenium, Dragster etc for us. Oh and we also included Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ and Hershey Park in our busy 11 days!

The Lighthouse Point section of the CP CG is very nice. It's the only area with FHU. I recommend it highly. Weekends are generally sold out for the season early on, and weekdays also go fast. Good luck....

Hi Gary,
We paid last year about $80 per night during peak season. Lighthouse point CG has probably some of the highest rates in the country... Still well worth it.
When we were checking in the people in front of us were paying almost $300 per night for one of their cabins so I guess it's all relative.

We are staying in the Campers Village later this month. A non-pull through site with electric is $64 per night.

Thanks everybody for the comebacks. Sch911, thanks for the link-I couldn't get on the site with it though-I think Cedar Points website must be down. Can get to the first page but cannot get to anything about accomodations or ticket prices etc. I'll keep trying though. Mdcamper that's what I was looking for-the price. Knew it was expensive but good thing I'm rich . Brian, we hope to go up July 20-23, maybe we'll bump into you there-I'll be wearing my RV.net t-shirt with routeforty on the side. Gary

We stayed at Lighthouse Point campground twice last year.. pricey but nice, though not really what we consider camping. The lighthouse point back-in sites are on a cul-de-sac with cement driveways and no campfires allowed. We are going later this month and paid $84 per night.

Forgot to mention that the campground does fill up fast but check the website often or call.. things open up as people cancel. We were looking for a Saturday night later this month and they were showing all booked up, but I kept checking and was finally able to get a site in the older Camper Village section. We were hoping for Lighthouse Point, so I kept checking and sure enough, about a week later a site opened up in the Lighthouse Point section for our dates. I called and they changed my reservation to the Lighthouse Point. We're hoping to get lucky again for Halloweekends too. All weekends are booked at this point.
