What is the easiest way to make up bunk end beds in the PUP? And what type of bedspread or comforter do you use? We will be going on our first trip the 1st weekend in August and I'm trying to get everything ready. Thanks for your help.

We have fitted sheets on our bunkends and then we use a sheet and comforter on top. To hold the fitted sheet in place, we use those sheet-holders that you can get a Linens-N-Things -- just clip them in place and we're all set.

The kids each use their own sleeping bag on the other bunkend. They prefer sleeping bags when we are camping.

Hope this helps. Have fun out there!

We have used both fitted sheets/comforter and sleepig bags. The kids do better with sleeping bags because they are both very restless sleepers and tend to steal the covers from each other. On cold nights, I sleep better knowing that they are warm in their sleeping bags...

On my old POP-UP the canvas covering the ends was loose all around.

I would fold the canvas out of the way and make up the beds from outside using fitted sheets ect.

New POP-UP canvas is not loose I just fold mattress in half hook fitted sheets onto it and let it flip back into position then I put the sheet on the end closes to the living quarters.

Does any of that make sense?

No sheets...just throwing sleeping bags on the beds is the best (and easiest) way to go.

We use a fitted and a flat sheet plus the down comforter. Very cozy and warm. I do it the same way pete described, the bed isn,t as neatly made as possible but it works for us. Enjoy camping.

I used fitted flannel sheets, always made the outside up before attaching canvas to bunk ends. Then went in and did the inside. I had flannel quilts with summer duvets. Once beds were made they stayed like that for traveling, I took them off and washed when needed.

The outdoors is a wonderful place to be....

Thanks for your replies. We will be opening up the camper to load the rest of the camping gear. I'll make the beds then, so they will be ready to go. Thanks again.

We use a fitted sheet over the mattress and wash it maybe once at end of season (olive green material). Otherwise.....sleeping bags. We're camping and on vacation, not home. The simpler you keep things, the more you'll enjoy the trip.
