Looking at a small TH like the 18' WW.They claim it can be towed easily behind a 1/2 to pick up. Anyone doing this?? I had a 24' wide body TH before, It used all of a big V8 in a 3/4 ton to do 70 mph.Oh, and any concerns on the smaller 18 foot Weekend Warrior I should know about???

What's your prospective camper weigh? What's the towing capacity of your TV? A 3/4 ton V8 pick-up should have had HP to spare towing a 24 footer, so maybe your expectations are a little too high regarding TV performance.

I tow a 19 foot WW w/ two dirt bikes and full water w/ my 2006 F-150 5.4. I have added airbags and a programmer to modify the shift points. I don't have any problems towing with this setup. I don't fly up hills, but I don't crawl either.
Also, I'm using an "Equal-izer" hitch / sway control. I don't get blown off the tow lane roads by other rigs. My setup drive's real nice and I have no complaints.

I planned to get a 3/4 ton truck prior to purchasing my toy hauler, but we came across a deal we couldn't pass up. I pull a 21' WW with my 1/2 ton GMC Sierra 5.3 liter. We dry camp so it is full of water, gas, propane, 3 bikes as well as 4 family members and a 140lb dog in the truck. Although I really can't complain as to how it tows I do worry about the big hills and I will not go up any large or steep inclines until I get a bigger truck.

I think you should not have any problems with the 18 foot WW. I don't know what it weighs, but I expect you will be OK with most 1/2 ton pickups pulling it. The main thing is to consider the weight you are pulling and don't expect to go flying up steep hills. It will only beat your TV to death sooner. Take it easy. You will save fuel and repair costs if you do.
I tow a 32 foot R-Vision TH with a Dodge RAM 1500 QC Hemi 5.7. The ULV weight on my TH is 5600lbs. Either of my two toys (Harley Ultra and Kawasaki Mule 610) weighs about 1K. Ready to camp with either toy I am around 7500 - 8000. My TV towing capacity is listed at 8500lbs. So far I am getting along fine. Mileage is around 9.5 on two lane roads and gets up to 11 or so on the highway if I take it easy.

Like 43Duc, I pull an WW FB1900 with my 2007 Tundra (see sig pic). Since you are saying 18ft., I assume you are talking about a SuperCross, which is lighter than my FB.
Depends on how your 1/2 ton is equipped engine and "tow package" wise, but it shouldn't be a problem with a WD hitch and a good brake controller.

I think you will be fine just as long as you stay with the SUPERLITE models, 21' or below. I can tell you for a fact that our friends tried pulling the 23' model with thier F150 and lasted (2) trips before having engine issues. They have since bought a diesel.

I am towing a 29' R-wagon with a 2001 1500 Silverado with a 5.3 all stock with a wd hitch and have no problems. I am not going to set any land speed records, but I am on a mini vacation so I am not trying to.
