You can hear a pin drop in my neighborhood. Fireworks are not allowed here.

Our dog is too much of a dope to realize what is going on at anytime!

......the way we are situated above the Sound, we can hear and see very clearly the two major shows in town, and they are huge. We also hear and see two shows across the Sound, not to mention several smaller but fairly impressive community shows and neighborhood antics. They are illegal here, but some nasty stuff is available on all the Reservations, so you know where much of it ends up. And the 911 systems have all stated ahead of time NOT to call about any fireworks problems......only real fires.

We had to put the bunny in one of the upstairs bathrooms, really freaked by the noise. The cats couldn't be bothered.

It would be really cool to see a good fireworks display.

Our previous dog/kid Trixie hated the 4th noise and we had to almost hold her in our lap because of the noise. Our now 4 year old nut/kid Ava could care less about the noise. Heck the noise bothers me more than her...go figure.

Megan's 14 1/2 and mostly deaf, only the real loud ones get her attention. She never really had a major problem with them when she was younger. Many of our previous dogs did have problems.

Being a veterinarian, I see this phobia alot!! You would not believe the tranquilizer sales around the 4th and during thunderstorm season!!

This is a link to an information paper on fireworks phobia.

Marm doesn't care...he's oblivious (to this and many other things). Vierna hides...it doesn'ty seem to frighten her, but I think it hurts her ears after a while.

My uncle's dog usually comes outside to watch...he's so used to shooting that he doesn't even notice the noise anymore.

Since Splash was the only one of our dogs with us in Prineville she was cuddled up next to me in bed during the fire works. The other three, I hope were at home inside safe from the noise.
