No Reserve ........ 35' Cummins Diesel Bounder RV motorhome
Not sure anyone is in the market for a low end DP anymore but here is one. At least this one was a trade-in vs a repo they normally sale. While I like our 1993 454 I do like the looks of no dog house.

Hi,
The engine is a low output 5.9L engine that is rated at something like 190 - 220 HP. I don't think I would bid on it without driving it first. What good is a RV that will not climb hills?
Safari also made many Treck motorhomes based on the Izusu 13,500 pound truck chassis with a 3.9L inline 4 engine that was only 90" wide RV. They also suffered from being underpowered and skinny!
I was also in a Coachman with a 6.5L diesel V8. Knowing how reliable the GM diesels where before Izusu started to help out in the design, I passed on that one!

I've driven a 190/4 speed and it's a dog. The 230/6 speed that came out in '93 runs MUCH better and can be turned up to 275-300 with no trouble. The 4 speed is limited to 200 according to Allison. A few people on this forum have run the 190 and like it, but I think they mostly live in FL or other very flat areas. if you going anywhere that even slight hills exist you'll be running 45mph uphill (and I mean 2% grades).

Looking at the pics it sure is a nice coach for the age and money they are asking.
The Oshkosh chassis has been obsolete for a long time and I read somewhere on this forum that parts are not available for it. BRAKE PADS for one.
Do a search on Oshkosh and confirm what I'm saying.

One thing to watch out for on internet forums are uninformed opinions. I have been full timing in a 1993 32' National Dolphin for 2 years now. It has the 230hp 5.9l and 6 speed Allison.
I actually live in it on remote job sites all over TX with a variety of amenities available -- from FHU to total boondocking. It has been at one commercial campground in the last 2 years. The longest stretch of boondocking was 6 weeks with no hookups.
From my viewpoint---
The older units are simpler and easier to work on. Electronic engine controls are minimal
The seem to be -- IMHO - built sturdier.
I replaced most of the outdated electronics which ws easy enough to do with a reasonable skill level- charger, house batteries, AC units etc.
Parts have NOT been an issue.
I tow with it constantly using a beefed up hitch -- 28' enclosed trailer, 30' deck trailer, welding trailer and a 2004 2500 4x4 Suburban toad.
On a recent (6/2008) round trip from DFW-Biloxi,MS (1200 miles), I averaged 12.9 mpg.
Here is the boondocking location where I spent 6 weeks.

I have a 230 cummins/Allison 6 speed trans, on an Oshkosh Chassis (95 Bunder deisel). It has very adequate power for the weight of this coach, and Oshkosh made a bullet proof chassis. I understand Freightline still services them (according to my independent repair shop). I've never driven the 190, but I would imagine it would be underpowered.
However, the interior of the coach is very comfortable. This still might be a great coach for someone who did local camping-someone still working and with a young family. What a price!

This was bought at auction by the eBay dealer from Lazy Days. So, not a repo, but not something they took in trade.

It was a Lazy Days trade. I am not sure the NC outfit even takes trades since they are wholesalers selling about one every two days on ebay. The Lazy Days window sticker had it priced at $26K as you can see in the photos by clicking on it. I can see the 190 being on the weak side however some poor soul got it to run for 75K miles.
I also managed to put 200K miles on a 69 HP Datsun. It would be fine if a person drove it as any truck with the same engine. It should keep pulling fine in the mountains but you may be doing 35 MPH like a lot of the loaded trucks.
The inside (outside seems OK) is impressive I agree and was what caught my eye because our 1993 Pursuit has been well used and was low end to start with.
The DP needs tires per the listing and should have a diesel shop tune up and chassis once over done. I am guessing if the engine and transmission are solid (they did drive it 600 miles) by spending another $3-4K could see another 5-10 years of service without any huge repair bills by addressing all rubber, hoses and other things common to this chassis.
Older DP's can be a wild card but as mentioned this rig is about as simple as you will find on the market any longer. I do not think parts would be a real issue. There still has to be many rigs running that chassis still today.
