Just thought I'd share a very cool experience we had on the 4th of July.
We got a call from NPR host Madeleine Brand who does the show Day to Day. She interviewed us about the high costs of fuel and how it is cutting into our travels.
Since Cindy and I are major nerds and listen to NPR non-stop, this was quite the honor to be on the show, if only for a few minutes. They found it funny that we try to avoid campgrounds and choose to camp in Wal-Marts and Boondock to save money.
I'm surprised we missed it! DH has NPR on the radio every morning--it wakes us up at 6:00. Congratulations on your newfound fame.
People scoff at the idea of fuel-efficient RV-ing, but a lot of us are at least taking steps in that direction. Might be an idea for a new RV magazine!
