I have a 2004 Prowler Regal 270FQS. The posted GVWR by Fleetwood for this camper is 8000lbs. The tires that it came with are ST205/75R/15C which have a load rating of 1820lbs per tire. 1820 x 4 = 7280. So if my camper were loaded to the max allowed by Fleetwood, the tires would be overloaded..right or wrong?
The current year model Fleetwoods with an 8000 GVWR now come with ST225/75/15D.

The rest of the GVWR is tongue weight so you are OK. Nearly all RVs are that way.

Jim is right but even then you are very marginal. Mfgs put the least expensive tire size on just to meet the specs. I would weigh your TT all loaded as you would normally have it. If you are running that close, as soon as practical, upgrade to d's or e's.

Some of that 8,000 lbs is on the tongue.

I replaced mine with load range D's. I don't have them handy to check but seems like they were in the 2400# range, plus or minus a hundred for poor memory.

A TT usually has 10-12% of the weight on the tongue so you are then okay but just barely. When time for tires move up to a higher weight rated tire.
