Inverter not charging batteries, With the truck plugged in, I have no problems. Only about 2 hours unplugged before beeping starts. I have 4 batteries in my setup. Checked fuses to make sure the batteries were not hooked up wrong. they are fine. Where do I start chasing this problem.

Check to see if any of the fuses on the inverter have popped out (tripped) There should be one for the input and one or two output fuses. If popped out, push back in to reset. Try manually starting the inverter by pushing the small button in (hold in for about 15 seconds). Its probably located on the back of the unit. Let us know what you find.

Beeping meaning low battery? How is the inverter wired into your circuits? All of them, some of them.. what?
You're saying the truck (running?) provides power to keep the batteries up while the inverter is running?

I think there is a definition problem with the OP. Does he really mean inverter or is he refering to his "converter". Inverters unless they are a combination model discharge batteries not charge them. More information required.

You will need to start by checking output voltage at the converter at the converter panel. Then check voltage on the cables that feed off to the battery. I suspect you may find the reverse polarity fuses are open.

Check the voltage at the batteries when you think they should be charging from the converter. If not 13+ volts then the batteries are either fully charged or the converter is simply not working.
Why did you suspect polarity? Has something changed recently? Is this a problem that wasn't there before ?

If I am parked and not plugged in I have low voltage. not a real big issue, as we mostly camp in campgrounds. Just cannot do any dry camping due to the low voltage.

If it is not charging the first suspect is a pair of fuses on the converter
