Where do you put your water filter? I put mine on a 90 degree so it will hang straight down, then I hook the water hose to the other end of the filter.

Mine is under the kitchen sink. I felt no need to filter all of the incomong water, just the drinking water.

We're doing it at both the incoming line, and at the faucet on the kitchen sink. Figured we'd like it at least pre-filtered when we brush out teeth!! I just get one of those in-line hose filters and attach it at the end of the hose....hope that it lasts for a season??

Recommend filtering all incoming H2O so ice maker makes good ice.

Here's the filter we use for the whole trailer.
Water Filter with bracket

Notice it has a mounting bracket that's available seperate. We use the carbon filters and change them twice a year.

We still only use bottled water for drinking. Not just for pure water but for taste.

Happy trails,

Our filter lays on the ground and a short piece of hose connects it to the camper. This takes the weight of the filter off the inlet connection.
But, actually, we hardly ever hook up but rather fill the Freshwater tank and rely on the pump for water. Bottled water for drinking and coffee.

Here's mine. I modified a whole house filter from HD to use hose on both sides. Connected some brass quick disconnects and used a 4" piece of PVC drain pipe to make the holder, works great for me. Plus I can use either a charcoal filter element or the bacteria destroying filter element, although I may go to a two stage and use one of each.

Tom,
Do you keep the filter permanently on the bumper? What is "HD?"
Thanks,
James

Good question! How is the 4" PVC mounted? That gives me another idea...I could use a piece of PVC and just stake it in the ground. Then again, Rick at RVwaterfilterstore.com said that the carbon block filter that I have will work just fine laying on its side.

I believe it is Home Depot.
